Spring is like a perhaps hand
III
Spring is like a perhaps hand (which comes carefully
out of Nowhere)arranging
a window,into which people look(while people stare
arranging and changing placing
carefully there a strange thing and a known thing here)and
changing everything carefully
spring is like a perhaps
Hand in a window (carefully to and fro moving
New and
Old things,while
people stare carefully
moving a perhaps
fraction of flower here placing
an inch of air there)and
without breaking anything.

two oh one two
Oh January has been a whirlwind of visiting others and receiving visitors and saying farewell to my home of 11 months. I am now residing in London! (sort of/some of the time)
Had a photo shoot with the lovely Meg Lavender, she has been doing a project of photographing people in bed in the dark. Here's a little sneak preview of some of the negatives. It was so cosy that I actually fell asleep for real.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest. We did a group shot of three of us getting all snug in my bed too. Now I want to go sleep in a cocoon until it gets warm again. Oh and it snowed a bit today.

Entering the river she was cleaned, shining like a white stone in the rain

(((This year I swam a lot in the river near my mother's house and the sea near where I live. I almost drowned in the sea in September. I did this ink painting a couple of weeks back of a water spirit. This photo is from my 24th birthday on the 24th of April when i decided all I wanted to do was get in the water in my birthday suit. It's been a strange and wonderful year. Good night)))

I like most of all
To wear fur
It's softness
reminds me of life's barest potential
Against my skin
A whisker
Baby bunny

A sigh from deep underground
Where your hair thin bones have long since eroded to dust
In the soil
In the roiling midnight

How all trees sing
Exultant! to the moon
because they must.
Perhaps thirty rabbits died to make this coat
I don't mind
In dying
Their sacrifice makes me feel more fixing
More fabulous.

(((1. Wearing fur in Freshford last autumn.
2. An arctic hare in the snow.
3. Oh look that's me! in a fur coat by Jake Spicer. What a sweet surprise.
I believe this will be included in his upcoming exhibition Grimm Tales at the Norman Rea Gallery in York. 28 November – 12 December 2011)))
